Upper Mustang trek Itinerary

The construction of roads in Mustang and in every part of Nepal has now been a priority. So, we have made necessary changes in the itinerary of the upper mustang that will avoid the jeep tracks and follow the trekking trails.

As soon as we arrive in Jomsom, we will take the jeep until the village called Samar, from where we will start our trek. We will stop in the beautiful village of Kagbeni.

You can easily customise this itinerary according to your need. If you feel it is too high to go directly above 3000m, you can sleep one night in Kagbeni.

And the next day, you can either take a jeep to Chele or Samar and then continue your trek.

During the trek, we will pass through the desert-like landscapes, barren ridges, deep canyons, eroded cliffs, and moraine valleys.

We do have a rest day and a couple of short days, which allows us to acclimatise easily for the trek.

The interesting part of the Upper Mustang trek is that you do can participate in Mustang Tiji Festival and then, continue the trek.  This festival remains very important for the people of Mustang and has been a great attraction for the tourists.
