Chamlang Expedition

Climb Chamlang, Hongu Valley

Located in the Hunku and Barun valley, Mt. Chamlang is a beautiful mountain lying in the Hongu valley, southwest of Makalu.

Chamlang boasts an absolutely stunning summit panorama that includes 5 of the world’s 8,000m peaks and other smaller peaks: Everest, Kangchenjunga, Makalu, Cho-Oyu, Lhotse, and many other 7,000m peaks including Baruntse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Kangtega, Nuptse and other marvellous views around.

We follow the route heading toward Mera Peak to reach Chamlang base camp. This itinerary is quite long but allows you to gradually acclimatize.

You do have the possibility to climb Mera Peak for the better acclimatization and preparation for the Chamlang. We recommend it.

You can find some good information on the blog that we found on the internet.
