Climbing Chulu Far East

Chulu Far east is another great combination of trek and summit in Annapurna region. This is undoubtedly one of the Nepal’s most diverse region, which makes your trip to this region a memorable one.

You have a lot of trekking and climbing options in Annapurna region. You can always customise and extend your itinerary as per your need.

In this itinerary of Chulu Far east, we will follow the trail toward Nar Phu valley, cross Kang La Pass (5322m) and join the classic trails of Annapurna Circuit Trek. This will allow you to acclimatise for the summit day.

Then, we will head toward to Chulu Far east base camp from from Nawal and prepare for the ascent.

As soon as we summit and are back in base camp, we can either follow the trail that leads to Thorong La Pass and then to Muktinath. We do have options to head toward Tilicho Lake and then cross Mesokonta La pass before descending to Jomsom. We can simply descend toward Besisahar, without extending the trek.

There are a lot of possibilities to extend your trip after the summit of Chulu Far East.

Permit for Chulu Far East

You will need to take the permit to climb Chulu Far East. You can find more information about climbing permits here: Climbing Permit Info

You will just need Annapurna Conservation Entry Permission and TIMS Card to trek after your summit. But, if you would like to enter in Nar Phu valley, you will need to take the special permit.
