Langtang Gosaikunda Lake- Trek to the sacred Lake of Nepal

The Langtang Gosaikunda Lake trek is another popular short treks in Langtang region.

The Gosaikunda Lake is one of the important pilgrimage site for the Hindu people, who comes in August during the Janai Purnima festival.

Itinerary of Langtang Gosaikunda Lake

We will start our trek from Syabrubesi, and then head toward the Langtang valley. We will do a couple of side trips around Kyangjin Gompa to well acclimatize for Gosaikunda. Then, we will trek toward the direction of Gosaikunda Lake from Lama Hotel.

You will see the breathtaking views of Langtang, Ganesh Himal and many other mountains during this trek. It is an excellent opportunity to know about the culture of the ethnic group called “Tamang”.

You do have the option to go directly toward the Gosaikunda lake, but it is important to consider your health and altitude. But we do recommend you to follow the below program, which is much more beautiful and interesting than just Langtang Gosaikunda Lake Trek.

In anycase, you can easily customize your itinerary according to your need.

You do have options to follow the new itinerary that passes through the remote villages with no tourists at all and spend the nights in the local people’s house. Then, we follow the high route that descends to Gosaikunda Lake. You will be able to interact with the local’s and see the real lifestyle of Nepalese people.
