Mardi Himal Trek

Why Mardi Himal Trek?

Mardi Himal trek is one of the ideal short trekking routes in Annapurna region. Situated just east of the Annapurna Base camp, this trek is easily accessible from Pokhara.

This is fewly trekked route in the Annapurna region in comparison to many other trekking routes. If you have less budget, short time and still want to visit a beautiful place, this trek is for you.

However, you will need to be physically fit to complete this trek. Our itinerary will help you to acclimatise before you trek above 4000m.

You will find very fewer tourists here in Mardi in comparison to Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. The lodges in Mardi are not as standard as you will find around the Annapurna base camp route.

Mardi Himal Trek Itinerary

We have made a slight change in our itinerary. We will start our trek from Bhumdi, a beautiful village near Pokhara. Then, we will trek through Panchasse before joining the main trail to Mardi. The hike to Mardi Himal Base camp is simply outstanding. The views over the Annapurna range is spectacular.

You can start your trek from Kande, which will make your trek shorter than ours. You can customise your itinerary as per your need.

The best season for this trek is in spring and autumn. You can trek here in December. We advise you to carry the necessary equipment and check if the lodges are open.

Permit for the trek

You don’t need any special permit to trek here. It is really easy to get permits. You will just need:

Annapurna Conservation Entry Fee and TIMS card
