Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal at over 6,400m. The view from the summit is one of the finest in the Himalaya with five 8,000m peaks visible: Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga.

Is Climbing Mera Peak recommended for the trekkers?

Yes, Mera Peak is a great option and a start for the trekkers who would like to enter in the world of mountaineering. 

This is a technically easy peak. It is the altitude that makes this trip much more challenging, so one should be physically and mentally fit.

The novice climbers with an experience of trekking above 5000m meter can make attempt to climb Mera Peak.

You will need to know the basic use of crampons and ice axe. The majority of ascent involves the glacier walk. 

Itinerary of Mera Peak

We will follow the route that passes through the south of Lukla to the remote hinku valley. This will allow you to well acclimatise for the summit and also discover the beautiful hinku valley. We will get back down to Luka via Zatra La and then back to Kathmandu.

Our experienced team of climbing Sherpa’s will help you to successfully complete this trip. We will bring a portable altitude chamber and a satellite phone for the safety of our clients.

Permit for Mera Peak
