Thapa Peak via Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek
Climb Thapa Peak (6091m)
Thapa Peak is an optional climb during the challenging and beautiful Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek.
This trip is really wonderful opportunity for adventure seekers, who will get a chance to climb a 6000m peak and discover the Dhaulagiri region.
Climbing Thapa Peak does not involve any particular technical difficulty. It can be climbed in one long day from Hidden valley. The descent after the summit will be very long.
You can see many beautiful mountains from the summit of Thapa Peak including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Tilicho, Tukuche, Sita Chuchura, Puth Hiunchuli, Nilgiri and many more.
This is one of the great treks of the world offering you the diversity of Nepal from lowland terraced rice fields, pine forest to the high mountains.

- Walking times: average 6 to 8 hours walking per day (with several longer days up to 12 hours) for up to 14 days with some rest days included.
- Altitude: up to 5,500m.
- Terrain: for some of the time following well-travelled trails although also likely to encounter rough and rocky sections. There may be significant amount of ascent and descent.
- Remoteness: often in more remote areas and normally a longer distance from nearest road and facilities available in a city.
