Pisang Peak Climbing

Climb Pisang Peak

Situated between Annapurna I and Manaslu, Pisang Peak is one of the beautiful and famous trekking peaks in Annapurna region.

You cannot take Pisang Peak as a non-technical and easy peak climbing in Nepal. The new route to the summit of Pisang Peak is technical and challenging. The huge rock slabs in the western ridge of this peak make the climb more difficult.

One should have previous climbing experience and should be physically fit. Pisang Peak is considered more difficult in comparison to other trekking peaks like Chulu or Island Peak.

The base camp of Pisang Peak is situated at 4200m, in a flat alpine section, whereas the high camp is situated at 5300m.

You will need to take the climbing permit for Pisang Peak from Nepal mountaineering Association. Find more information about the climbing permits here: Climbing Permit Nepal

As every trekking peak in Annapurna, you have the possibilities to extend and customise your trip. You can either follow the trekking route toward Thorong La Pass or Tilicho Lake.

In this itinerary, we follow the classic trail until the Pisang village, and then we head toward base camp. As soon as we summit Pisang Peak, we will get head toward Tilicho Lake, cross Mesokonta La pass and then descend to Jomsom.
